On Wednesday, February 25th
we were advised that our area may have 2 - 5 inches of snow. But the
weathermen were skeptical. At 8am on February 26th it began snowing ...and
snowing....and snowing...and snowing. By nightfall it was still snowing.
At times it was snowing so hard the snow was coming down horizontally. By
midnight, February 26th it was starting to slow down. When we woke up on
Friday, February 27th we had accumulated over 12 inches of beautiful soft
white snow.
This snowfall has set a
record for this date and it is the second largest snowfall on record for
any date here in the Charlotte area.
